Because Fashion Week isn't stressful enough, there is the possibility of a hurricaine. Fashionista reports:
“It is highly unlikely that we will not have a hurricane somewhere over the Atlantic during the first 15 days of September,” said AccuWeather.com Senior Vice President Joseph P. Sobel, Ph.D.
Of course, the Atlantic is a really big area–41,105,000 square miles, to be exact–which means any storm that might churn up isn’t destined to hit NYC. But, if the high pressure system currently located over the central Atlantic weakens, storms would turn towards the Northeast–and smack dab in the middle of NYFW.
So are we totally doomed? Not exactly. Like we said, a number of conditions have to happen before it becomes at all reasonable to start freaking out about a potential storm or hurricane. Still, you might want to start dusting off your rainboots just in case.
