An unshakable fixture of the Canadian industry goes international, and two runway girls remind us of their undeniable editorial game. See the three girls that we're watching right now.
Quebecer Pamela Bernier (The Society) has been an unshakeable fixture in the Canadian fashion world since 2006, but this year she had an incredible international show season - including Dolce & Gabbana, Prabal Garung, etc. Now managed by The Society in New York, Pam's potential for runway, editorial, and big beauty campaigns is sure to be realized in the coming years.
After a stunning international show season, Canadian beauty Taryn Davidson (Next) was everywhere in 2008. She kept it up through 2009 and 2010. Since 2010, modelling has been on the back-burner, as Taryn has been in University. But if the first few months of 2014 are any indication, we're going to be seeing much more of her in the coming years. With a sizeable amount of editorial work, and an undeniable presence at World Mastercard Fashion Week (Toronto) this week, it seems that Taryn and her agent Elmer Olsen are testing the local waters before gearing up for a big comeback - and we're thrilled about it.
Kelly Mittendorf (The Society) began her career in 2011 with an Italian Vogue editorial by Steven Meisel and a Prada campaign. The one-two-punch excited the industry and Kelly worked non-stop in runway and editorial from 2011-2013. She took a brief hiatus at the end of 2013, but is now back and better than ever. Like Taryn, we haven't seen her on international runways in a few seasons, but it seems like she has new editorial images coming out everyday. We're very happy to see you again, Kelly.
