It's a fun, low-impact work-out and a great way to add some calm to your day. Sometimes it can feel like a very expensive nap-time though, which can deter those of us without deep pockets.

September is apparently International Yoga Month in the US, and businesses across the country are offering free classes! Women's Health Magazine has found four free offerings to get you started:

The Yoga Health Foundation is offering a free week of yoga at more than 1,600 locations nationwide, beginning September 1 (and the offer is good through October 30). Check with your local studio to see if this deal is available. Note: Only new students are allowed to participate.
Lululemon stores across the country provide complimentary classes once a week (they actually do this year-round).
Join millions of people for a worldwide yoga event: Time for Yoga Global Practice is encouraging people across the globe to come together at 7 p.m. local time on September 30 to meditate and practice yoga in their respective communities. Visit the movement’s website to find out if a studio near you is participating.
If you’re going on an early fall getaway, Kimpton Hotels provide yoga mats in every room and free on-demand fitness routines for guests all year long. Other hotels also may be offering free yoga classes this month, so check with the front desk to see if the place you’re staying at has anything available.
