It's no secret that fashion shows usually don't pay very much or if they do, most pay their models in trade.
In this article, 1980's supermodel, Yasmin Le Bon, express her frustrations over models not being paid enough for walking in the shows. As well as how young new faces opening fashion shows don't have the experience to handle the pressure or the courage even, to ask for better pay:
"It's hyped up as a discovery of the next big thing, but actually the designers are penny-pinching. It's the world's stage and, especially with live streaming, it's global . . . These young girls don't get paid very much, and they don't have the experience or the confidence to demand to be treated any differently by the industry."
